What is Pollution?
There are several types of pollution, however the general definition of pollution is the introduction of foreign contaminants into an environment. These contaminants could include invasive chemicals, intense visible light, or even unwanted noise. Light and Noise pollution may not seem as hazardous as their counterpart, air pollution, at intense levels the damage they cause may be just as harmful to us and the environment.
Both intense lighting and inundant sound are well known to cause migraines, fatigue, irritability, and even degrading eye sight or hearing. Profound lighting damages crop growth, which strongly rely on the night cycle for proper growth. Wild animals, especially nocturnal creatures, have been injured and abated, forced to migrate to foreign regions, due to the continuous straining of pollution.
Air pollution is much more abundant and, because it is visible and travels further, a much greater concern to societies globaly. It is well known that air pollution contributes to upper respiratory infections like bronchitis, lung cancer, and blacking or scaring of lungs as well as frequent headaches, nausea, sinus irritation.
